The Rochester Area Fatherhood Network had its beginnings in 2010 when a conference was convened by the Olmsted County Bright Futures Pregnant and Parenting Teen steering committee for the purpose of identifying resources, needs, gaps, and concerns of Fathers in Olmsted County.  This multidisciplinary group provided essential information to the steering committee.  During 2011 the steering committee took the opportunity, under the mentorship of the Minnesota Fathers and Families Network, to host educational sessions on Fatherhood, and to form the Rochester Area Fatherhood Network.
